Hello friends! Here is my new Mr Darcy top. I'll take some photos of it under my impractical 1960s dress tomorrow.
As you can see, I've also chopped off all my hair. It was very sad to see it go, but the ends were SOOOO fried from dyeing it from blonde to almost black and back to blonde again... so they had to go. I am quite sad... but I suppose it will grow back (in a couple of years!!). It's supposed to be all 1960s and huge, but I'm not very good at doing it yet.

And me again: Yes, I was right! This is a perfect creation!
ReplyDeleteI love your shirt. It's perfect. I'm so sorry about your hair, but I can sincerely say that you still look beautiful. I recently got too much cut off of mine, too, and am waiting for it to grow back.

Oh I love it! But I was expecting to see it with the dress :(
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain about your hair (I'm trying to grow mine out and not dye it so it doesn't ALL fall out), but it looks great.
gorgeous top! i'm also wanting my hair to be long again!
ReplyDeletevery cute top.
ReplyDeleteGeorgeous top! I love it. I love your hair. In fact, your hair is the reason why I decided to go with full bangs like yours, they look awesome. I can't quite get them to look so polished, but I've only had them a few days, so I guess it takes some getting used to :)
ReplyDeleteFound you on Sew Retro. I love the blouse. The picture on Sew Retro made it look so very retro. But over here on your blog it looks so very modern. How awesome to have an item that's so versatile!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair this way, the length works better with your bangs, it makes you look sophisticated and gorgeous :) The top is awesome, the design and fabric are indeed sexy yet demure just like Mr Darcy!
ReplyDeletewhich pattern did you use for the shirt?
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty and soft, love that blush colour!!
ReplyDeleteLiking the hair,it does look quite 60's,esp with the eyemakeup!I adore 60's hair, the bigger the better!!
beautiful colour! If you don't mind me asking, what pattern did you use for this?
ReplyDelete:-) Ruby Slippers
LOVE the tie bow and the colour of that blouse, and your hair looks FANTASTIC!! So stunning!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the hair cut, it really suits you. I lopped off about 7inches a month or so ago, its significantly cooler not having hair to warm ones neck but I love it. I am sure your hair will grow quicker than you may expect.
ReplyDeleteAnd that blouse is impeccable! The style is just delightful and the fabric looks luxuriously expensive. Once again I am loving your creations!
I love the blouse! The fabric looks really beautiful :)
ReplyDeletelove the top and i love your hair!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! And I love the blouse -especially the tie.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!
ReplyDeleteUm, I think when you said "I am a not a perfectionist" that was supposed to be comforting but when you make a top like the above without sweating it......! ((sigh of exasperation)).
(laughs) I totally did catch the 8 question tag! You're so awesome, it's in queue. If I wasn't such a blogging slacker, there wouldn't such a long backlog! working....on............it...
Hey, Lily, what's the word on using gauzy fabrics? Are they really as hard as everyone says they are? How do you manage?
This material looks perfect for the style of top!
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse! It's so pretty and floaty.
