It's sad times today as my 2 week holiday is nearly over. It's been brilliant being able to sit around the house all day watching Breaking Bad and the excellent new The Hour (which is satisfying my Mad Men craving). I even tried to exercise yesterday and rode my bike to my mum's house. I only managed to crash into one parked car...
I'm so glad I continued with this top because I really love it now! I was worried it was going to be a bit mumsie and 1970s maternity top-esque, but it's pretty much exactly as I planned.
I used a slightly modified version of the pattern I drafted for my Seventh Day Adventist dress. I used a silk/cotton, which I probably wouldn't choose for it again - something a bit more drapey would have worked better... but no big deal.

This is so typical for you! Love it! It is high-level Lily style! :-)
ReplyDeletePs: You hair without the fringe looks much better!

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I'm glad you carried on with it as well!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you stuck with it, it looks fab! The colour is great, very you xx I think the bows cancel out any 70s/mumsie tendencies ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW, I love the top and your hair looks awesome that color. Don't go back to blonde unless it's your natural color. Darker is so much more striking on you, very Snow White.
ReplyDeleteYay,you're back!! You went awaol for a while,I thought you had given up the ghost!!
ReplyDeleteLove this top,so silky looking,and lavender=MMMMMM
That paisley number in the bottom right of my 90's pix was a shapelss maxi,I made it into a slinky frock quite a few years ago-I'll wear it soon!
I must go catch up,and see if I have missed much!
